The UMKC men's and women's cross country teams will start off the 2014 season in Lawrence, Kan., in the Bob Timmons Classic at Rim Rock Farm, hosted by the University of Kansas. For the men, Dirk Hudson and Kolton Sheldon are expected to lead the team along with Alex Nail, Jason Fambrough, and Quinlan Moll likely rounding out the top five. The 'Roos return ten competitors from last season and welcome four newcomers. The women are led by sophomore Kelly Carpenter. The group includes ten returners and five newcomers. Other team members expected to have an impact in this meet include: Katie Tuck, Sarah Fogarty, Kaitlyn Stryczerk, Megan Mills, Chandler Carreon, and Gabrielle Penaflor.
