Thursday evening, the Kansas City Kangaroos track and field program began its 2012-13 season at the Bob Timmons Challenge, hosted by the Kansas Jayhawks.

Thursday afternoon, The Summit League announced its 2012-13 Indoor Track & Field Preseason Poll, with Kansas City tabbed to finish fourth on both the men's (12 points) and women's side (29 points).

Tuesday afternoon, head coach Shameika McField and the UMKC track and field program announced its schedule for the 2012-13 season.

Friday afternoon, the UMKC cross country program took part in the NCAA Midwest Regional at Missouri State, as the men took 15th (482 points) and the women placed 30th (886 points).
